At our forest school session today we were exploring the properties of wind, using fact books and resources from our windy day box. We made some windy day streamers and then tried them out. It was very topical as we have had so many storms. The children enjoyed bird watching using binoculars and completed some bird hunts, we saw lots of different birds, robins, starlings, blackbirds. Another activity the children enjoyed was making picture grids using lots of natural recourses. Some children made dinosaurs, a stick family and a house. Den building was really exciting, we worked as a team helping each other and used our problem solving skills to make our constructions stay up. Finally it is always nice to chill out on the hammocks. Well done to all the boys and girls for working so hard!
